An alumni of Cinemart Producers lab Netherlands, Emily Wanja has produced, several films including the short film 'Burnt Forest', a USA, Singapore and Kenya co-production nominated for Best short film at the 2013 Africa Academy Movie Awards and co produced 'A fork, A spoon, A night', a short film by director Mira Nair, commissioned by the Tribeca Film Institute to celebrate the spirit of Nelson Mandela. She is the producer of several TV shows on NTV and Ebru TV. She is the supervising producer for DOCUBOX (East Africa Documentary Film Fund).
Hailed as one of the pioneers of the local drama content in the Kenyan film and television industry, Naomi Kamau is an established award-winning producer based in Nairobi, Kenya. A career that spans for over twenty years has seen her create and produce numerous TV shows including Machachari, Makutano Junction, Reflections and more on Inooro TV. She is the co host of the popular Shamba Shape up make over show.
Robert Wangai has worked in the TV industry for over 15 years. He is involved in numerous TV shows and Films, both as an online editor and as a director. Majorly skilled as live director, he has worked on shows such as Zuku Rugby Live Sports, Safaricom Live, TEDx Kenya 2013 and Media houses such as the BBC and CNN. His all round expertise makes him one of the most sort after technical directors in major productions countrywide.
Njeri Wakaba has been working in Television production for the last five years. Her experience spans from working in Kenya, South Africa and USA. She has a degree in Journalism with a concentration in Broadcast Media and a minor in Spanish from United States International University in Kenya. She is Currently the Production Manager for 'GoodPitch' Kenya, a BRITDOC (UK) & DOCUBOX project.
Zippy Kimundu is an Award-winning Kenyan Filmmaker who has worked in the Film industry for a decade as a Producer, Director and Editor. She has collaborated with film-makers from across Africa and around the world, notably in Singapore for universal studios. Her short film 'Burnt Forest' was nominated for 'Best Short Film' at the Africa Movie Academy Awards and Her film 'Mothers Song' described by Oliver Stone as. 'A very well made film with unique textures and brilliant casting and directing choices'. She holds a Masters in Fine Arts (Film) from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Asia.
Lisa has grown up in a family of artistes and her love for film and music developed at an early age. She is actively involved behind the scenes, which has seen her work on commercials and TV shows such as the Emmy award-winning project Shujaaz for Well Told stories, Seeds of gold on NTV and 160 Girls for the Canadian Film Board. Lisa recently won the Maisha Film Lab screening writing award, wrote and directed her first short film 'Home is Home' set to be released later in the year.
